Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Rhinoplasty is the most demanding amongst all facial plastic surgery procedures. it is more than just a procedure. It is a delicate marriage of aesthetic vision and functional precision. We can proudly trace the roots of this surgery in our own country when the legendary Indian surgeon Sushruta, the “Father of Surgery” routinely performed reconstructive Rhinoplasty procedures in the ancient city Benaras centuries ago.
The procedure itself is so complex that it puts the abilities of best surgeons to the test and if you add many other issues like ethnic variations, psychological implications etc it certainly becomes most dreaded surgery even for the trained hands. The learning curve is steep and Each nose poses a different challenge before you and the adage “Rhinoplasty surgeon never graduates” is so true. The exposure to this surgery is virtually not there during the post graduate training period and most younger surgeons have no option but to learn this surgery by self-learning through and hit and trial or by attending workshop and conferences.
As a group of surgeons dedicated to this surgery we felt the need to have an association of Rhinoplasty with the goal of bringing the established and aspiring Rhinoplasty surgeons from both the disciplines of Plastic Surgery and ENT under one umbrella. The idea born fruits and the association was registered in New Delhi as a national charitable organization in the year 2019.The association did not see much activity during covid years but now the association is making steady progress in fulfilling our vision which is anchored on three key pillars:
Academic Excellence & Mentorship: We will continue to expand our Skill Development Programs and hands-on workshops to demystify complex procedures for our younger colleagues. True progress happens when the experience of our senior members meets the curiosity and fresh perspectives of the next generation.
Global Collaboration: We are strengthening our ties with international bodies and like the Rhinoplasty Society of Europe to bring global benchmarks to our local practice. Our goal is to make RSI a global hub for Rhinoplasty training and research.
Patient Safety & Ethics: Our primary concern remains the safety and satisfaction of our patients. We are dedicated to establishing standardized surgical protocols and upholding the highest ethical standards to ensure natural-looking results that function perfectly and harmonize with the face.
Association of Rhinoplasty surgeons of India (ARSI) was another organisation working under the leadership of Dr Virendra Ghaisas with similar aims and objectives. Last year we took initiatives to merge both these organisation and now Rhinoplasty Society is the single organisation in the country representing Rhinoplasty surgeons of India.
As President of the this this prestigious organization, which stands as a beacon for one of the most challenging and rewarding sub-specialties in surgery, I congratulate all those who took important decision of becoming part of this organisation. I invite all those ENT and Plastic Surgeons interested in Rhinoplasty to become members and take benefit of those privileges exclusively available to the members only.

The Rhinoplasty Society of India is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the open exchange of innovative ideas and techniques concerning plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic rhinoplasty.
The Society consists of Surgeons throughout India and abroad who specialise in rhinoplasty.
The goal of the Rhinoplasty Society of India is education and exchange of experience. Therefore the bylaws are structured that plastic surgeons, otorhinolaryngologists will be represented on the Board of Directors.
